We are going to run the Tail of the Dragon on Saturday after the long haulers and then we are going to stop in Knoxville and spend the night with my sister we would love to run with as many of you that wants too. Traditionally we all try to meet up at the bus for a group photo when the LongHauler festivities are over......we'll decide during the week if we develop an alternate plan.......at any rate, that would be a good starting point. I'm headed up to NE Georgia, Western NC the last part of the week. I'm going to run part of the Blue Ridge Parkway to see how it would be to run from Balsam, NC to just NE of Asheville, then drop down to 26/74 to run S and E to Charlotte...........I'll let y'all know if you're interested in running about 60 miles of the Blue Ridge PkwyComment

Good idea. I think the prettiest part of the Parkway is between Asheville and Cherokee. If a person wanted to get in some good mountain roads it would be an alternitive to running the Dragon on the way to Concorde. And lots quicker.

Someone might need to tweak that alternate plan a bit though. Last year some of us constituted that old 10% that doesn't get the word & were waiting by the bus wondering where the hell everyone else was hiding until someone heading out stopped & told us that everyone else (most everyone else) had already gotten together in front of the stadium.Originally posted by oletrux4evr View Post
