Re: Never Forget
I still have that picture that was printed in the Newspaper hanging up on a wall in my spare room/office. It's been hung up at my apartment in Chino, CA, The room I rented in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, the house I rented in Fontana, CA, the apartment I rented here in Ely, and currently in my house. It's just a frail piece of paper now, but I've taken care with it every time I've moved.
Escaped on a technicality. -
Re: Never Forget
Perhaps the most moving thing I saw on that first 9/11 - at the end of the ABC news coverage at about midnight, they had a shot of the site formerly occupied by the Twin Towers taken from across the water. In the foreground and to the side was the Statue of Liberty. I still tears me up just to think of that pic. I turned to Mary Ellen and said, "She's still standing". And she still is today. As we mourn our losses we all need to remember that - She's still standing.

Re: Never Forget
I will never forget 9-11 because it is my birthday. I am remembering all of the fallen heros with a few toasts.Comment

Re: Never Forget
yes, never forget..and not just because I work in law enforcement, but more importantly because of all of the Americans who lost their lives on 9/11, and countless others who have served and are serving, and who died or were wounded, in Iraq and Afghanistan....may God look over their souls.........rexxComment
