It didn't come off. The flywheel grenaded, killed the block, etc.

He had some killer pics of all the busted stuff like the dyno room wall, metal cabinets, and of course the engine and bell housing, but he has since deleted them. I wish I had saved them.

Reminds me of when the 8V-92 blew up in Missouri, the flywheel went around the room twice before it exited and killed 2 people.

I could believe it. that engine could send anyhting of itself flying at any moment.
the build numbers for this one was very real and respectable...
anyway, not all was lost, guy spoke of new block being easy to get, saved the guts.

I worked at a mill when I was a kid, old school. big saw, thick rubber belt turning it, electric motor..no safety stuff, wobbling conveyor. log was coming at me through the blade which was about 3 feet in diameter, maybe four... and I heard a whistle even over the scream of the saw ripping in, and then saw a beam of light. I looked up behind me... a tooth came off just missed my head and went through the roof of the building.. at an angle the sun sent a perfect light through.
