Charles, the 7.5 or 7.625 will put up with a lot of grief if you don't have slicks on it... I had one in my Monte Carlo with a warm 350 with zero problems, but it never really hooked up all that well. I think if it had drag radials or slicks, maybe a different story.
When you are looking at the 8.8 and the tag on the diff cover, if it has an L on it, it has a traction loc. Here's a good page for information - if you want to use something like 2005 Mustang wheels for the rear, you can use the Explorer rear and it should have 31 splines and discs. The rear is a little wider than the Ranger. The 4.0 Rangers (I'm told) also have 31 spline axles which are good for lots of power and traction.

Some highlights from last week's police calls.
Report of harassment in Ely - A woman claimed her ex-husband was harassing her by cutting her off in traffic. A report was completed.Report of an animal problem - A pig was reportedly running at large. The owner was found, who claimed the pig got away when he was trying to feed it. The pig was recovered by the owner.All the important stuffReport of a dog problem in Ely - An officer located a dog that was tangled in his leash. The dog was untangled.
And the photo of the week. I went to CA and all was well, and I drove by this on Monday when I was going home. The caption says it was during highwinds, but everyone in town says there wasn't even a breeze that night. The ground had been dug up around the tree to install a pipeline.

Ugh, why is it so damn hard to create a resume!? How am I supposed to make being a glorified secretary sound good enough for a better job? I found one at Yavapai College and I have the skills to do what they want, and can learn the rest, but they also want a Master's Degree in Counseling, Higher Ed., Social Work or a related field, which I don't have.
