Seeing the posts from semi-local people, is there a way to map the members locations, so you can click on yoru area and see the junkies that live around you. I think that would be a sweet idea, and an easier way to con, I mean have people help with your projects.

Some people might not want to accurate a map. Some of the cars have a serious amount of money in them. Don't want to make it easy for those with thoughts of snatching one of them. For the casual thief normal locks are OK. For some of these cars they might attract a more professional type thief. Just a thought.

I think thats a great idea, even state might be enough. I also think that as this progresses, which I'm sure it will, some of the events that will be planned might be to far to travel for some of us, (I really need 8 weeks vacation to do what I'd like...like thats going to happen) maybe we can have local events in our areas. Hows this "Carjunkies Midwest chapter" I live in Iowa.

Trade secret,lol. As myself or keith turk will tell you, it takes a very honest 700rwhp to do 200 in a mile. it also takes aero. My car made 600 SAERWHP on the motor and 850SAE rwhp on nitrous. When you build a LSR motor, don't think peak either, it gets you no where. Think power band... long long powerband. 1000 peak will go no faster than a broad 850 unless you really have the gear and shift points absolutly perfect, which is next to impossible, based on outlying factors such as the often 10mph head wind at maxton. Just think good honest consistant power, and a cd of less than .27 in a standard body car. with about 200lbs of downforce on the rear tires.

Another answer to that question - build all the power you can. It won't be enough. Build more power. Now the tires won't stay hooked up to the track, so you don't get to go any faster. Now you know why there are so few in the 200 MPH Club.
I have cleverly avoided all these problems by running a bone stock Chevy 250 in-line six. No problem hooking up at any speed. Tires last forever. No pesky green hat. Got in the 100 MPH Club. Next year, I'm going to try some HP, and we'll see if it's all it's cracked up to be. I'm gunning for 150 HP on gas, and Keith wants me to spray it, which I might if I can do it without blowing up my 167K mile short block. This may entail another trip to the automotive salvage and recycling facility for another set of pistons, attached to another factory short block. Stay tuned.
