from thornwood , ny , sold by curry chevy [I worked there for a time ] - tom valentine's b/s wagon

tom's son lee owned the b/s record for years with a 396 nova , and did the rear suspension on my nova

Woah! That would be the baddest factory wagon ever.

Wonder if it is still around somewhere?

According to my books that thing would ave weighed about 450lbs more than a Chevelle SS.

    Neato!

he may have passed on by when we got old enough for racing chevys , his house has a big truck sized garage with a glass roll up door , like a gas station and had an abandoned 75 corvette sitting outside
his son lee is a real hardcore stocker racer
my boss had a 71 corvette 454 that lee built the q jet on , never bogged or coughed ever
we used to carpool that to work everyday

Could be a 'theme' for Chad to follow with His own '66 Wagon ;). Meanwhile I have an old Reedman '66 Biscayne 2 Door(Green with a Gold Vinyl gut...)Sedan with a 230/'Glide/10-Bolt. Power Steering, and a Heater,NO Radio. Somewhere along the line the Car picked up a pair of 'Cross-Flag' 396 Emblems on the front Fenders.......fools folks all the time, but only AFTER I open the Hood 'an they see 'old Ironsides' doing Motorvation' then they get all pissed ;D! ~J/W.

Chad weighed his wagon at Fontana. Right at @4000 lbs. It was 150 lbs more than Impala.

Did this wagon have a stick or auto trans?

a 427 could haul 12000 pounds... who cares about 450 pounds.

the weight stuff belongs in 2 liters and less.. the rest can just make it work.
OE is pansy as like that.

I had 5.7 that worked better in 4000 pounds than the snappy gay twack of 2500

...and Goliath has a 17,000lb GVW with an L6. :o

I mention the weight because this is a drag car, a stock eliminator drag car that would have been on the heavier end of the weight scale for B/Stock.
