I can handle looking at my own scars (besides usual bloody gearhead knuckles, I have a huge dent in both my legs from when I was pinned against a tractor and guardrail 8 years ago), but I'm such a girl when it comes to looking at others (like, surgery on Discovery channel, etc.) Funny thing is that girls are typically much better at handling that kinda stuff than guys.

Brian, all the best with the recovery!

      Stay tuned.

Isn't it amazing the abuse our bodies will take and recover from? In a few weeks you won't even think twice about using this hand. What amazing pieces of machinery we are!

I was wondering why you didn't answer your telephone, Brian...

Dang, that is a doozie! I hope you heal quickly. Oh, by the way, Brian Olsen says hello.

Late to the party here, but glad you weren't hurt any worse, Brian.

                Thanks dude.

The hand is coming along nicely. Swelling is virtually gonzo, been taking the antibiotics, and keeping the wrappings changed a couple times a day (a benefit to working close to home is being able to zip over so my super wife/nurse can keep me in fresh bandages!).

I'll be ham-fistedly wrenching with this hand in no time!

Looks like your typing skilz are undiminished, that's very good to see. (I'm assuming you didn't have your super wife type this for you)

My super wife is not typing for me. Typing in the chat window during the race was crappy, but by Sunday night I was able to bang the keys with my normal lack of grammar and intelligence. Joe, you ain't kiddin'!
