@bnjny I agree, their skits are off the mark for americans and thats why I like it. Its a different view on the world of cars. I don't know why TopGear US can't get the formula, but I'll watch it for Tanner Foust because I love his driving! Their later episodes got a little better.

the Car show is a car show.... the TG US is merely a soap that happens to have cars. TG UK - lots better... on Direct tv they have an english show called "wheeler dealers" - I've really started enjoying that show - they buy a "classic" like an older BMW or whatever and fix it up then try to make a profit (which is generally pretty minimal) - but the cool part (to me) is they are pretty honest about the issues and attributes of the cars they fix (and there are no "freeeebiieees"). Some cars on the show are completely euro; but the porsches, bmws, jeeps are all cars that are in the US as well - so it does translate well.... I still wish Ed China would learn that power tools really are okay ;)

These car show guys all have one thing in common,. odd names,.. in order of coolness.

• Stacey David = One of the best car guys on TV, who giggles like a girl named Stacey.
  
  
• Tanner Faust = Awesome driver, named after a German astronomer reputed to have sold his soul to the devil. That's pretty cool I guess.
  
  
• Dennis Gage = A talking, hat wearing, 12 gage mustache who hosts a weekly car show.
  
  
• Adam Carolla = USA car show host almost named after a Toyota, hard to take seriously.
  
  
• Dan Neil = hahahahahahahahahah
  
  
• Matt Farah = Not Fawcett, that's for sure.
  
  
• John Salley = Stick with the Pistons(Detroit) you know about.
  
  
• Adam Ferrara = Geraldo Rivera & Geraldine Ferraro's love child.
  
  
• Rutledge Wood = He said Wood, uh hhuhuu huuh uuh uuh uuh.
