My Dad gave them to me to lick and stick in the book. I can't remember what they did.

I can remember mom collecting them from our local supermarket...A place called C&L. Those things were good for anything from kids toys to home furnishings...crazy.

Can also remember everything had a price tag and not a bar code. Cashier had to enter everything manually...clickity, clickety,clickety...man were they fast...

              Sailin' down Memory River.

The Hutcheson house is in Ypsilanti, MI and is a WAY cool old mansion. It's now the home of a non-profit. I got to tour it a while back - ol' Mr. H must have made a PILE with those little stickers. No idea where Mr. Sperry lived.

I remember them everywhere, mom and both grandmas collected them and got all kinds of things with them. I remember cashiers knowing how to make change and count on their own.

                          haha.
I am just old enough to remember.
CRT, black and white..19 inch was huge, the remote never worked, the dial stuff was stronger.

My Air conditioner to this day is intentionally a dial setup...with thermal switch.

S&H is something my mom did for short time, nothing was ever stable enough to stay penny pinching for long.

I just used "ebay bucks" to buy electrical tape..same idea.
