twin I-beams and non-variable assist power steering could be challenging on some roads back in the day.

We own one of these turds for our family buisness. Its a 2012 with 20,000 miles on it and its a load. Worst van ive ever driven we also have Sprinters with over 200k on them and they still drive better. The old Dodge Ram wagons we had years ago with 200k on them drove better. The Ford handles like crap has no power and the seats SUCK! Good its going, save someone else the pain of driving it. GM vans (which we also own one of) is so much better as well.

Don't know about that Jim, I drive an extended E250 with all my tools and junk weighs about 7500#. While I'm not a fan of the twin I beam, drives like you're hearding cats on the hiway, the most frieghtening thing I ever drove was a Chevy mini van, Lumina? With some bags of ice melt in the back, it wanted to swap ends so badly it was really scary. Unloaded it was fine.

every used ford E350 we get in drives like a 48 f100 panel ..cept the flatmotor had more power
          awful trucks good riddance
the only reason the FORDS sell is they are cheap and chassis parts in fleet operations interchange for the last thirty years
the GM stuff drives like a caddy, but they have plenty of dumb issues too

Speaking of which - the next door neighbor has a late model Chevy/GMC van for sale. He's a tile setter and is downsizing as he rarely needs the van. It's the "Tradesman" style - no windows. If anyone's interested I'll get more info.

and the fact you need to change pas and rotors as much as the oil! those who I know with sprinters, love the room, but hate everything else.

We own 5 of them (Sprinters). And drive the Sh@# out of them. THey do use pads kinda quickly but have great brakes and handle well. The 2007 was a headache from day one the warranty claims on that were tremendous, that is the last one we bought. The mileage is awesome though. We get 25-27 mpg with it (06 and back). I think the Nissan might be next though.

The big problem with the E350's 15 pax vans is people remove the rear seat and fill the back of the van with luggage. Acts like a lever taking weight off the front wheels. You have to adjust your driving for it, but it's not dangerous except in the hands of someone who shouldn't be driving anything. We've been buying them for 20 years and have never had a driver wreck one because they lost control because of it being loaded down.
