I've yet to see a car with an automatic, floor shifter, and bench seat, but like you said there were a few bench seat/manual transmission cars (Malibus and whatnot).

Take a look at the links that I posted for photos of the install that others have done.
on my '80 MC I used a 70-81 Camaro/Firebird console version of the MegaShifter, it's shorter than the universal model. It fit fine - keeps your knuckles out of the dashboard. Because the console version for the Camaro/Fireird did not come with a cable, I reused the factory cable from the stock shifter.

David, if you can get to a boneyard, you can get measurements from a console shift car, and maybe the console and factory shifter too. There were a ton of Old's and Pontiacs that had consoles. You might try looking for an LS Monte as well. Save your parts if you change it, you'll hear some guys on here now lamenting the parts they changed and got rid of the originals, as they now want to put it back the way it was.

Don't do what I did. Build it back to front -- begin by replacing the 7.5 rear end and then work your way forward.

I already swapped from a 6cyl to a v8 and I also swapped a none posi to a posi and the trans is next. It all takes time and money.
