I'm up in the middle of the night, bound to go back to bed soon and take another nap.

There's a song about that. The band Chicago did "25 or 6 to 4." That's what time it was when the guy got inspired to write that song. That's all it was about, what time it was.

A song about being up in the middle of the night, and that's all. And it was a hit back then.

I'll bet nobody even knew cared or knew what the lyrics were about. The music was good....back then.

How about "Badge" by Creem? The rumor was that it was the chords in the bridge but I don't know enough music to verify that. A great tune either way.

Yeah it's a great tune. I'd never heard that rumor, so you made me get my guitar out and figure it out and play along.

And YES. Those are not the chords in the bridge but all of those chords are in the song. It starts in A and then the bridge is in D. So every one of those chords are in the song. Cool stuff. I thought I was gonna go all day without learning anything, but there it is. Since I've never written a song with a bridge (because I'm not a musician), that was foreign to me. Yep, there it is. Sure enough.
