I think the right car purchased at the right price and sold in the right market would bring a profit...LMAO..Check me out stating the obvious.

Do you believe in common denominators? The guy I bought my 73 Formula offs name is Danny, as much as hate to get rid of this thing, I should run it over to Counting Kustoms and see what they have to say. I might at least have the pleasure of seeing the car done right and it would give me a little cash flow to get serious.

we are in this hobby because deep inside every one of us is a masochis..... Where would the pain and suffering be in that idea?

This is the first show of this ilk where they missed the deadline...and then said "oh well" see it next time.

They also don't tend to have the friction amongst employee drama crap that spoils so many of these shows.
            I'm still learning

I cannot believe the numbers Danny (the count) quotes. He pays way too much and then generally sells them for Ferrari money. And the loud and fast guys are just half as bad. Main difference is they count on making money at the auctions. Really? Your a custom car builder with no customers ? you can't sell one on your own. And then when they kept acting like the mustang that got crashed was totally unfixable. And they had insurance on it but were afraid of getting cancelled ? Something shady was going on there my friends. Still they all are entertaining. My favorite car show right now is are you faster than a redneck.

You're talking about a word that doesn't compute. Like Danny, I can't afford to lose either.

my buddy's trans shop wrecked a 4.4 bmw V8 ..16,000 dollar long block
they paid bmw 20k to install ..he put it through on his 'screw up' insurance that he paid into for 30 years
1 claim , got it cancelled
he has since gone out of business , trans shop ain't all that anymore

Sounds like our farm insurance... 50 years never filed a claim, hot water tank sprung a leak behind the wall in the closet.. Floor work, lino/carpeting.. And new tank relocated outside where it will not happen again.. DROPPED like a hot potato...

Hell, most likely they were right on that- even with my personal insurance, I made 2 claims in 4 years- once when my hondas winshield broke (while I was at the INSURANCE AGENT making a payment, their tree...), and next when my mustang was broken into (and the guys were caught). They sent a letter threatening to drop me if i had any more claims- apparently my car is more of a danger parked then not.

this, to me, was the most realistic and TRUE episode of any of the car shows. yep, 1 claim, then done. and he was PISSED, and called the guy out that hit his crew guy.... like I said, the episode was real life.
