Was pretty cool back in the day. Now I'd take the wing of and paint it black.

Pretty underwhelming for a Barris car.

Just as ugly as all the barris cars,...

It's actually a Harry Bradley car that Barris reworked later.

EDIT: It's a little more complicated. Apparently the Bradley "Corky" movie car is modified from an earlier, tamer Barris design called the SXB.

BTW, the film "Corky" is unwatchably awful.

The fish obviously needs a bit of work after how the Hollywoodians mistreated it.

(Don't you always hand over Corky Jr. to the baby mama before a street race?)

(So bad that MGM doesn't care the whole mess is on YouTube)

I gotta say, I almost like it, but don't at the same time.
Still, I do love custom 70s vehicles, so I think that will outweigh the ugliness, never heard of that movie though, looks terrible, I'm looking forward to watching it later
Rumors of my demise by rollover have been greatly exaggerated.

I'll say it out loud - I'm not a Barris fan. From the Monkey GTO, to the Corky car ... I'm just not diggin' what he does. Seriously, he does have mad paint skills, but then he uses them to take cool cars and make them ugly.

The original Monkeymobile G.T.O. is a Dean Jeffries design and build, and not a Barris product. Barris merely once owned the car and built some clones for his '70s Hollywood show car tours on the state fair/ISCA auto show circuits. Barris also allegedly stoked the claim that he, not Jeffries, should get credit for it.

"That's one of many bad spots in regard to [Barris] . . . He puts his name on a lot of stuff he had nothing at all to do with." -- Dean Jeffries

With yesterday's unexpected death of the Monkees' onetime-hearthrob Davy Jones, there has naturally been a resurgence of interest in the amazing, funhouse-mirror version of the Pontiac GTO that was the Monkeemobile.

Not a Barris fan either. I have nothing good to say so let's just leave it at that.
