Something like this will inevitably be on Lee's list before long - he's going to be 4 on the 29th. He hasn't mastered the pedal car we restored for him last Christmas yet, this year it's a big wheel, and swim lessons.

I always wanted a mini bike too. I still threaten to buy one when I see them at swap meets, but the wife says no, which makes no sense because she's ok with a dozen or so motorcycles? lol.
I think it's cooler than a dirt bike anyway. I'm sure you'll both have a blast on it.Comment

Tell her its an investment. If you have not been watching these things...its a hot little market and nicely restored and customized ones sell for a pretty penny...Might be a way to have your cake and eat it too....Last edited by JOES66FURY; December 20, 2013, 08:21 AM.If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you have enough horsepower. - Mark DonohueComment

Me too and, by 13, I had enough for my own XR75. Luckily my best friend had a basement full and I could keep it there. My folks didn't know about it until my 30th birthday party.Originally posted by SpiderGearsMan View PostI got a lawn mower at age 12

Gosh, that is absolutely classic. My parents wouldn't let me have a mini-bike, but the guys up the street had a Heathkit 2-speed monster with a giant back tire. We all took turns tearing up the trail on that thing, such fun. Yeah, my parents protected me alright.Originally posted by PatricksDad View PostMe too and, by 13, I had enough for my own XR75. Waist deep in snow in the heat of August, uphill both ways. Nothing to eat but dirt - mud if we were lucky. It was TOUGH back then - but we were glad to have it.Originally posted by peewee View PostDan, did you have to walk barefoot in the snow uphill and against the wind to school and back, both ways?
