Here's what you do. Chuck that Ecoturd out in the street. Tube frame it, make it RWD and put your 455 Olds in it. That would rule you jive turkey. LOL ;D

Scott!!!!! I'm shocked - don't tell him to ditch the cat on a DD!! Pick up a Catco high-flow perhaps. No need to lose the cat to make power and as long as you breathe air it's worth it to help out a bit. They cost VERY little in power on a street car. For race-only - that's a different story. The cat on that car may be a mess but like I said Mr. Catco can fix that.

just never deal with this stuff im an oldschool carb man! :-\
HP Tuners will let you do some tuning, ditch the cat and put on an open exhaust is going to be worth a little. Get some adjustable cam gears, and a new intake & filter, if you're working at it you'll find a little power.

But what spidey says is right, if it's a little bump in quick power you're looking for - a 75-hit of nitrous on there will be safe and fun(ny).

Really? Is there any option other than the little blue bottle? Spray it. Nothing is going to be as effective and cheap. With some spare NOS parts you could make a great wet kit and be a happy camper. I mean happy enough for a guy trying to hop an ecotec.

              Turbo AND NOx ;D
Actually, the 2.2 is the motor to upgrade - they put turbos on them in the Solstice; they have superchargers on them.... and there's a world of aftermarket for them as well.... which was quite frustrating when I owned the 2.4l HHR - as it has no aftermarket support.... oh well, divorced that and the frustration ended.

Buickguy - we're you yanking my chain? NOx??? Maybe N2O. I don't think NOx will do much for performance (or the environment).
