2c - Chrysler will do the fiat merge thing and go into a type of receivership (limited bankruptcy but not called that) supported by govt. funding enabling them to legally get out of high 'worker costs'. GM will go straight to a similar 'receivership' in order to get concessions forced on the unions and creditors. This will lead to Govt. lead arbitration for most all financial matters concerning GM. It will be renamed American's Motor Corp. :o

Someone is going to the F'd and I think it will be all of us. Some Corporate A-holes will make some big cash on the way out and laugh at all of us. I got mine and Screw the rest of you attitudes everywhere in our Country. We need a whole new way of looking at our Country and bringing it all together, Stop thinking about how much money one can make and save our way of life, at least for a few years until we get our Act together. In Reality, it wont happen because of the Greedy Bastards we have in charge of everything. They have us by the Short Hairs and wont let go until they Milk everyone of us Dry...If it is'nt the Corporate Giants, It's the Government. It's just a Communistic approach without going from House to House ececuting those who wont Pay. Gotta get up early in the morning to go to work for the Greedy Bastards. See ya all tomorrow.

Ya got that right... We can pay more, for less choices, while our taxes finance the whole nightmare. And it's not just in the

When I think of "quality union made product" I think of all the GM cars with the paint that flakes off after 2 years.

Well, read elsewhere, Cal. is banning black autos. The government has had it's nose in paint colors, and formulas, for I bet more than 20 years. Yup, the bean counters are trying to make the paint cheaper as well.
I had my chevelle painted with the best laquer job I could afford, (mid 80's), as it went, that sucker sat outside the 1st ten
years with not much care. The paint wasn't too bad, buffed it, out not bad for another 10yr.(kept inside) My paint guy
explained why red was so expensive, more lead than any other color. But even then gov. was regulating colors/formulas.
How many red cars did you ever see in the 80's? (from the factory)
Fast fwd to right now, looks like obama's gonna be running the whole shebang, we got bigger problems than flaking clear
coat.

Problem #1: people who would rather believe what they read in sketchy media than do a little work for themselves (goes along with that Union mentality). Do a little research on how "real" that whole "ban the black cars" thing was.

Problem #2: Union guys were in large part responsible for the current President being elected. Are you union, or are you anti-socialism? there's politically correct, then there's... well... gee I am not sure what to call it that wont' get me banned here

Problem #3: Where are all the loud whiners who a few months ago, were claiming that Toyota, Honda, BMW were getting "unfair trade advantage" and what are their thoughts now that the Feds are going to have to back GM warranties? or that they Feds are proposing up to 9 months of free car payments if you lose your job after buying a new GM car? where's the fair competition in that?


Problem #4: people in this country refuse to educate, or do anything for themselves. They feel "entitled" to everything: an annual raise even though they want to push the same broom year after year, a handout from the government, etc.

Problem #5: most people in this country, and on this forum, have a shitload of credit debt on stupid things they didn't need. As a tuner, i know *HUNDREDS* of guys who are paying down credit cards they maxx'd out three blown engines ago... everyone agrees credit is the problem, but my personal rage is that I'm one of the few who drives older, paid-for cars and was disciplined to purchase and live in a house I can afford - and now, it appears the guy who drives the new Escalade on 24" wheels and lives in a 100% financed house with an ARM mortgage, is going to get a chunk of my tax dollars to help keep him in his bling lifestyle... while I'll get nothing...
