Looking really good! I have ben torn about smoothing my firewall in my GTO. In the end I have decided to put the delete plate on as it was origional a heater/radio delete car. some day somebody may want to restore it. ( after Im dead and gone!) If ever get to central Pa. around reading/lancaster give me a shout and well grab abeer and talk about our nightmares.

You mean a broken arm, and a bruised hip slows you down ??? :D :D You know, a bit of unsolicited advice, cars (and Harleys) are easier to fix and require far less pain meds after a crash so next time you crash remember - bruise bike, not self!!! ;D

I hear you! I'm so friggin sick of being injured I can't even describe it. Back when I was in my 20s and 30s I don't remember healing taking so darned long!

Today I loaded up the project and brought it back to my shop. Paint and body is DONE. It'll need a last buff before the World of Wheels show in January. Friday I'll start installing the Wilwood brakes. The below pics absolutely do not do the paint and body justice. The color is absolutely fantastic. We'll throw some accent lights in the engine bay for the show. Still trying to figure out how to display the car. January is coming fast!

Take some pics of the car at the show under the lights.

Will definitely be checking out this car at the show! More incentive to go to WoWs this year!

Thanks guys, Made some more progress yesterday. Got the dash pretty well put together except for one spot, so it's now ready to wire. Today I start trying to get the brakes done.

And dash pad is done and ready

Engine turned panels look soooooooo bitchin'. That dash is going to be blinding! Nice work.

X2! I was considering removing the original gauge pods in my Impala and replace it with a engine turned piece of aluminum and aftermarket gauges. That picture of yours is making me lean in that direction again.

Nice work on the car! Sorry to hear about the setbacks, I feel your pain. I had to repaint over half of my 53 Suburban and pull the engine out of it a year later. My Roadrunner went alot smoother since the body and paint guy came to my house. I have a Pontiac in waiting. Your car is going to be something to be proud of. I went to Jim Butler's shop in 2005. He's a really nice guy to deal with. I still have a cabinet full of parts I got from him that haven't been installed yet. What type of interior do you have?

Interior is kind of a hybrid. Black cut loop carpet, Pearl white "factory" seats and door panels from Legendary. As you can see by the photos, dash itself is modified. Speaker grill is welded shut and smoothed. No heater/defroster, etc. Dash pad was heavily modified - entire passenger side eliminated. The remainder is molded and smoothed. I've got another trick up my sleeve for the dash bar - I'll keep quiet until it's done in a couple weeks. Polished Ididit column, Polished billet specialties steering wheel with black leather half-wrap.

Any blemishes you see are just fingerprints or dust. It's really starting to shape up!
