          Re: squirrel's 55 chevy

Apparently Jim has lost his mind and been convinced that the perfectly acceptable paint job on his killer '55 needed a redeux....

The burning question all inquiring minds want to know.....

          Same colors? Same two tone?

          hmmmmm

(Jim - please tell me at some point before starting the car after the paint job - you're going to replace those exposed air filters that will be completely filled with dust...)

Bored with the color Jim? Last I saw it, the paint was pretty nice.

The whole car is already jambed out, I cant see the pics here at work but if he isnt laying down new primer I would guess it's gonna be original colors....

as sinister and cool as the primer is your car deserves a nice paint job...The original colors are very nice and will look freakin great.....I can not wait to see it done....

                      Re: squirrel's 55 chevy

Four days sanding, I lost a couple pounds, but I think the car did too! Almost done with the bodywork phase, just an hour or two left (front of the right front fender) then I can lay on some more primer, give it a light sanding all over, and take it over to the painter.

But we're off to Vegas in the morning.

Been sanding and whatnot, a little bit of progress is being made. This might or might not be the last coat of primer.

                          nice work Jim!

Body/ paint work is soooooo time consuming.

Yeah, plan is to go to original colors, with shiny on it

Kind of like my friend's car in this old picture...imagine the nice red/beige paint, but with the hot rod stuff, instead of the old man accessories
