Editor-at-Large at...well, here, of course!
"Remy-Z, you've outdone yourself again, I thought a Mirada was the icing on the cake of rodding, but this Imperial is the spread of little 99-cent candy letters spelling out "EAT ME" on top of that cake." -
Thanks Bob, it's good to be back, though I'm just going to share my projects and stay out of the general hoopla, as I tend to stick my foot in my mouth and say stupid shit.Originally posted by Deaf Bob View PostWelcome back!
sure is a pretty paint job!
Remy, hopefully I'll have the motor in it by then. The Green Machine.

I love green, I love trucks it only makes sense that I would love this...Great job Alex.If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you have enough horsepower. - Mark DonohueComment

Glad you're back, it was boring without ya
neat job on the truck... I'm leaning towards green on my Sedanette.... your truck is certainly a good example of green looking goodDoing it all wrong since 1966Comment

Congratulations on your reinstatement, and good job on the truck! 20, 15, or even 10 years ago, I would have never painted a vehicle it's factory green or blue... but now that I'm older I really appreciate seeing older vehicles kept their original color - or something close to it, as is the case with my Maaco paint job. ;-)Comment

I think you need to get ridof those tiny back tires for some real rubber. Haha. Looks good.BS'er formally known as Rebeldryver

Yap that is one of the original things I'll keep the same, I also didn't paint the firewall, because it still has all the original factory chalk markings.Originally posted by phitter67 View PostI think the seat is cool, I hope you keep it as is.
And thanks again guys, I'll post more as I do more...The Green Machine.

On to the front end, got the grill mounted today, waiting on trim rings for the headlights then I can put the headlight buckets in. The grill is in two pieces and from trial and error I can tell you it's best to mate the two pieces off the truck, then mount it as one assembly. I'll get the bumper on tomorrow, getting close to motor time!!!

Got the front end all together, looks like it's time to drop the motor in.

I'll drape a moving blanket over it and I'm going to have a few buddies over to help me drop it in, should be fine.Originally posted by SuperBuickGuy View Postnice... you're a brave man putting the motor in after the front end is assembledThe Green Machine.
