Registration is Open!

Last year my registration number was 1685 and my car number was 137, I pre-registered just before the cutoff. This year my registration number is 1874.

Any updates on Hot Rods Facebook/ Twitter, Freiburger chime in please.

Is Drag Week going to turn into another Power Tour?????

Only thing that sucks about that is I lost my navigator.......that dude is a friggin work horse!!!

can you imagine..... shipping the car over a couple months ahead of time. fly in, then go to the register table.... SHIT would fly by the English guy!!

WOW! In just one week, HOT ROD Drag Week is sold out! 200 cars are signed up and preregistraton is suspended. If entrants drop out, or if we can make arrangements to accommodate more cars, we will open up more slots.

I convinced a customer of mine in Michigan to join the fun, I called him yesterday and told him he better get in before it's too late. I sent him the link to register, he got in yesterday. I'm excited for him, he was the guy that was written about in HR from 2010 DW when we had problems in Michigan, we pulled off the highway in a very rural area, he lived up the street and heard us pull off the highway, he let me keep the car at his house, and drove us back a couple hundred miles to our trailer, I gave him gas money, we headed to his house the next morning with the trailer, he tried to give me my change for the fuel!! What a great guy, and we've became friends since then, and now we are doing a stroker Boss 302 with an old Weiand tunnel ram that he's owned since the early 70's for his Maverick he's bringing to Drag Week this year! I urged him to enter, he's got heart issues, and I wanted him and his son to have this experience together.. Drag Week is something they will BOTH remember for the rest of their lives, and to top it off, they both have their birthdays during DW, that's gonna make it that much better!



THESE are the great stories of Drag Week, and not much in motorsports that I've done compares to the experience of Drag Week! Whats great is, the average guy can get to enjoy a motorsports event like DW, and he does not have to have deep pockets to experience it.

Here is a pic of Luke's car.. It's in pieces right now getting tons of updates, he is doing most of it at home with his son.. His son is in his mid 30's, and when they came down to visit about 6 weeks ago, they seemed to have a great relationship, and that's cool! I can't wait to hang with them, it's gonna make DW that much more special..

Pretty cool - get ready, get set, GO !! Great times ahead.

They just posted that they are starting a waiting list. I was going to wait until today (payday) to register but you guys got me nervous and I bought in a couple days ago, thankfully!

It didn’t take long, but we’re already over our 200-car cap for the 2012 edition of Drag Week and registration has been shut down. If you’d like to get on our waiting list, email us at [email protected], give us all your contact info, and write, “I am writing to confirm that I intend to register for the 2012 HOT ROD Drag Week should a position become available.” We will fill any positions in chronological order of the emails we receive.
If you are a racer who has preregistered for Drag Week and you will not be able to attend, please let us know as soon as possible so that we may open your slot up for another racer. The email address is the same as above, [email protected].

goood thing you registered when you did. i took an hr off of work to come home and register the first day it opened just in case.
