New OD transmission only has a one wire hook up on the outside for the lock up. In 2012 transmission shop put a pigtail in with a four wire connector. I just looked and it is teed into the BATT wire on the HEI coil. That is constant power. Don't we want key on power or does it matter? The case says 402 and does not have the four pin plug. Shipping label on pan says 81 and newer. Came with a floor dimmer style switch I assume turns the lock up on and off? My El camino is a 71 and already has a floor dimmer.

It was disconnected as I use a gauge now. The wire was damaged and the boot on the end was partly melted. But it still smoked after I moved so not the problem.
Also the car has a custom dash with autometer gauges and speedometer.

If you haven't already make sure you don't have something pinched in between the trans if not check for loose main ground wires. I had a Mack truck once that lost its ground connection and smoked all the little grounds in the dash trying to find a good ground. Hope this helps.

I thought about it and the oil sender wire probably melted against the headers and I just tucked it out of the way.

Got most of the footer dug out today I will have some hand work to finish it up.

Got rest of the footer dug up after a breif rain this morning. Loaded up the mini ex and refueled it and got it all washed up and reloaded ready to go back in the morning. Sorry I was so busy trying to beat the rain I didn't get any pics yet. I'll try and get some before the wall goes up. Going to rain tomorrow all day so probably won't get much done. But its suppose to clear up the rest of the week.

Got the tires on the work truck.... the installers couldn't figure out how to get them on.... 10.5 inch tire on a 9 inch wide wheel.... there were three of them, while when Sean did it, he did it by himself! did some other errands yesterday, and started prepping for winter today...Carol Iowa got snow and we are looking at the possibility tonight...

Got some of the footer leveled out last night still have more to go. Hoping to get it all ready this weekend long hours at work and shorter days is holding me up.
