When we had an acreage that required a rider (MTD) the wife said it cost more in Beam and Coke than gas and I seemed to "always be mowing" !! Wonder why ?

I too had an acre in Ohio and I had to buy a special drink cup to fit the John Deere..Seagrams and Coke and the lawn was done..

I just finished piecing together another "junk" trade-in zero turn mower (love those, this ones "final-straw" before trading in was actually due to the air filter being a solid block of dirt and the blades on upside down, along with other small issues) and I am likely just looking too closely at the job it does, when actually I am just looking for signs of something else needing fixed.

But there it is..........I've noticed it on every mower I've ever had (and that's getting to be quite a few!) some are worse than others, some are better...............but they ALL cut crappier on a turn!

disclaimer - we sell and service a boatload of mowers at work every year, and some of our customers are very "discriminating" about the job. Personally, as long as the dog or kids don't trip over the grass, I'm good with it. I actually had a friend who would not cut the grass until his dog did indeed trip and fall on said grass (small dog but still)

I need one of those sealed beverage bags with a drinking tube - - those zero-turns are a bit bouncy for an regular cup! Had to take a shower when I was done, sticky!

I tried drinking beer while mowing but the sloshing made it go flat - I hate when that happens.
