WOW. What a difference.
Drove the car back to work after lunch today and the difference in valvetrain noise is tremendous. Much much quieter now. In addition to clearancing the rockers (a move I now know was unnecessary because BBFs *should* have 2.2" long stud girdle polylocks instead of the 2.0" ones mine came with..... live & learn grrr) I tightened the lash 0.003". I have found the lash grows 0.005-0.006" when hot, so that was putting them in the 0.021" range where they were quite noisy. Now they are much happier sounding when warm and my mind is more at ease. haha
On an unrelated note, I hate how nose high my car looks now. I must change it.
