Re: Roadside Find: A Trio of Old Navy 1950 Chevys
I lusted after every one I saw in the stores. Just from reading this article, I've only now noticed that they're not in the stores anymore! I wonder where the ones from the local stores here turned up...

S-10 too narrow...that's the only awkward thing about it. Full-size frames (newer ones) are too wide. However so much aftermarket stuff is available you can easily "clip" the stock frame. However, I think that someday the ones that got left with the straight-axle may be the coolest......

All the ones that I have ever found had no title. Prices were very good, though.
I want one, but with a good title.
Lazy and Honest is no way to go thru life son,,,
First its a pre 74 vehicle, NEVER had a title.
Second, if its hasnt been regged in seven years, the records are purged
So, down ya go to dmv on a friday just before closing with a tear in ya eye about loosing all the paperwork during the flood, especially after spending 10 years on the restoration. they guy you bought it from has passed, has no heirs,
re: Oh My your poor man, here is an avidavid to get notarized, bring it all back when your done,
NOW ya hit them First thing monday while they are wiping mr. sandman out of thier eyes.
re: whats all this then?
Reg application for a car with lost paperwork, pre title, casual sale, under $1000,
give them some tax and reg fees and ya golden,

s10 frames are the way to go under these. I have a friend who did an s10 frame under his.... it really did almost fall into the truck.... very low impact mod. As for width - you'd be surprised how close full size 50s trucks are to "mini" trucks of today (dimensionally speaking).Doing it all wrong since 1966
