facebook does have a devil.
I got restricted for a fake word... and then remembered my "new" cellphone was on wifi within hours of the 24 hour comment ban.
I think they gave me a ID (the low level ones that cannot be changed), that got into trouble in the past or something,
I have shipped it back for free. Tech called me and said it was bad.(getting another one for free)
never been treated badly at facebook.
anyway,
I found these wheels as a set there for 100 local.
year 2000, never been scrubbed of original faded coating.

Three grand - it's pretty clean, title in hand. Why do I keep coming back to these cars?
Readily available, still affordable, spacious interior (for a small car) so tall guys actually fit, strong aftermarket, and the engine bay/tunnel will swallow anything with ease.
Oh, and they are actually easy on the eyes. What's not to love?
(I forgot lightweight. Even the heaviest of these are punching Flyweight Class compared to todays behemoths.)
STINEY you forgot they turn heads. When I drive a mustang people look up. I had an 88 Tbird turbocoupe and no one looked at it. It was a nicer car. It was a turd with the a4ld trans but otherwise was not bad.
I pick this one up Saturday for the same price. Just a bit farther away. I put a deposit on it this time.
1998 GT 4.6L, 5 speed, 8.8. Motor leaks coolant, transmission was removed to get at freeze plugs, (but is included). Interior looks to be in pretty decent condition. Paint color is dark green satin.
The plan is a BBF swap using stuff I mostly have lying around. Possibly using my '96 460 engine with the E4OD trans. I am toying with the idea of attempting to run it on the 4.6L EEC-V. I need to research that a little further. I would be very happy to retain the AC, power steering and will probably put my nitrous kit on it. The 8.8 has 2.73's, so I might just use my spare C6.
Louvers! If the other side is as good as that one, I would consider it a big win. Nobody has defiled it too bad from here. Hmm. 460 with aluminum parts, is it that much heavier than a 4.6? From what I've been reading, an EEC-V is much more receptive to tuning. Lighting MAF wasn't out of line. This should be a hoot to watch.
If you run out of 3rd gear in a 1/4, you need more cam. :|
The other side looks the same. Seems to be a "survivor" insomuch as it is not completely thrashed like so many Mustangs of that era are. It has the gray interior which is vastly superior to the black stuff. I hate black interiors.
There will be issues to overcome for sure (4.6L kmember is different from 5.0L for one) but it seems like a fun project. I will prob throw a build thread in the $5000 project section after I pick it up.
