If this is what the Olympics has to offer then it should be a chapter in a history book never to be seen again.
The Romans would be embarrassed and the next sport would be " off with the curlers heads in center ring"
It just proves if there was a game of pushing crap up hill someone would play it and become #1 on the news!
Um - the Olympics originated in Greece...not Rome. The ancient Olympic games were about peaceful competition while the Roman games were about blood and death.

And yeah....I think curling sucks - but I`m far outnumbered by those who enjoy it.

Wait.....I retract that question. A drunken meandering. My bad. I take that back.
The answer is: If you live in this country, it`s on far more frequently than that....Every year theirs the Brier, and all the tournaments leading up to that. One the woman`s side we have the Scot tournament of hearts and all the tournaments leading up to that. Both are major events that fill arenas and get lots of TV time.

Add that to curling and you got a sport Americans will like!

I want a new addition to the Olympics. The Olympic Bowel Movement. Much more exciting, some weightlifters have managed it already, and everyone gets to enjoy it. Corn is an added bonus.

My Mom describes the rock (I think they call it) as "concrete tea kettle". I like it. Why the throw the concrete tea kettle away than sweep the track I have no clue. I'm guessing the goal is to drink concrete tea?

Forgot to mention - Mom's Canadian.

Crazed Yankees on a frozen lake. Sorry Dan.

I didn't have a whole lot of fun when I was forced to be up north on business. It was cold. Real cold. Damn cold. Too cold for humans. Cold.

The curling match between Canada and Great Britain had a bigger crowd than Nascar did at Fontana yesterday.

No offense, PeeWee. Mom moved to Florida in the late 60's and I'm in the Southland too. Actually, she's lived in the 'States since she was 3 but I still claim Canadian heritage.

While NBC has all the skiing, ice dancing and figure skating, MNBC has curling. I've come to really enjoy watching it. Sliding a 46 pound stone down the ice with some semblance of accuracy is interesting to me. Not everyone's cup of tea, but for me I find it more interesting than a lot of the other sports.

As I stated elsewhere,I love to watch but understand very little.Saw some great plays but
don't know how it's scored. Can't even use the computer when the Women are playing. My favorite was
GRB vs USA.I'll miss it when it's over.
