No car shows or races for me. I AM BUILDIN! Engines, and finishing cars.. well workin towards gettin them finished. Eventually some shows and races will be happenin. Its been so long since I made a full pass I think it will scare me. I better bring underwear next time I get to the track.
You guys going to events better get pics. I will be sorely upset if I get no pics of events I cant attend.
You'll get pics, and they might even be decent. I've been learning all the settings on the new camera so hopefully most will actually be in focus now.
Gonna do some detailing stuff on the Monte tomorrow, hopefully. Cleaning the interior, lots of stuff laying around inside from the winter trans swap. Gonna spray the wheel wells, they are not very black any more. It's also getting a new set of sneakers and I want to polish the rims before they get mounted.
No car stuff today. We're working for this 80 year old lady who can't take care of her property any more. We're going in and trimming and cutting and generally sprucing things up around her house and barn, it will take all day.
The official Bangshift garage door guru. Just about anything can be built using garage door parts, trust me.
yesteryday I worked on the c-10 and I added a mid 90's 175 amp maxi fuse/junction block out of a blazer(or what ever they called the full size one that year)
and the late 80's mopar dual relay bracket to be used with the relay system for headlights..
painted the last few bracket parts for the rear long arms, noted that I need a track arm bushing set.. one is almost awol..
ordered the rear rubber brake line, and 12 bolt cover gasket, valve cover gaskets, and rear shoes, as I was this far I pulled the drums and the shoes have 1/4 left but I'm there, so, now is as good of time as any..
found my early sbc valve covers with the chevy script, have to check if they are the right bolt pattern..today.
and mr murphy showed up.. as I needed a twist drill bigger than 3/4" all I found where "stepped drill things," that look like kits toy tops.. never used that type and not sure it cut through the .25 steel ,even tho it said for steel, anyone use these before..
the lowering blocks already have 3/4 holes drilled I just need to go one size larger..
today, maybe finish the dash/guages, install the front sway bar, and fix the tranny leaks..
pull out the riding lawn mower that I've never used, clean it up and get it running (new gas) and a battery.
and craigs list it..
and then fix the self propelled mowers rear hieght adjuster, as I broke it 2 years ago when my wife left the mower under the backhoe and I started to run it over..
unbolt the 2 sets of engine/tranny compos in the back..
c/l the 700r4's and rape the two engines for anything I'll every need , then add the rest to the scrap pyle.
spray a growth killer in my caged area, so the grass/weeds/ect don't start to grow..
wire the 80 gal commpressor.. as I had to move it, to make wifie happy..
and if time is left.. start wirebrushing the chevelle frame. and taking the subs. parts off..
dad will be over next w end or the one after to straighten the rear crossmember that the towing comp. sometime in it's life used as a "good" place to hook to.. while dad was over looking at the rear frame area I opened the 71's trunk to find it full of parts I bought in 93-94 that i totally forgot I had.. xmas in april.. prebent brake lines/fuel lines/engine harness/dash harness/ body mounts/engine,tranny mounts/ headliner/sway bars, and all types of other goodys,,
wife is home today planting and seeding, for plants, garden so I'm hoping my time on cars/trucks doesn't get shot and end up playing in dirt

Progress Report: Red Turd has been moved to the boneyard, exposing the GTV for its eventual revival. Harder than it sounds, the turd had no rear axle or front or rear suspension of any kind. I'm thinking Rally cross might be in the turd's future.
DD SVO, brakes are about done. I think I'll stick the LM-1 wideband in prior to honking on it with the hot rod turbo. Pretty easy to do while the front end is up in the air.

I did the ol' "nut and bolt" check on Goliath's major systems today in prep for the "long haul" to the tractor and truck show tomorrow. I've put about 130 miles on the truck in the last couple weeks. This ride tomorrow is 50 miles one way. Cross your fingers!
