Silver Bullet has SO many meanings.
If applied with beer connotations then current marketing scheme added along with divorce settlement alotting you the car...

My brain works in weird connective ways sometimes. One topic triggers thoughts of another...and they trigger two more, and they trigger two more, and so on.

I was under the assumption that all vehicles are female. Either way, I hope to make mine more feminine with some pink caliper covers that I found at SEMA...when the budget allows. Now I just need a pink bowtie for the grille.

"It" has a long way to go still. Your trans and rearend are beefier than my stock ones were. Mine has 210k+ some. Sad to say I've never had a valve cover off. Other than rear diff's and fuel pump(went past 200k+) nothing ever messed up that wasn't caused by me.

On the calipers, take off yours, sandblast them, get some SS stencils and black the SS black, or possibly pink.

That perfectly good beefy truck from the mud-slinging truck commercials on TV is sitting there parked thinking, "I just can't believe this. What did I DO to deserve this?"

*gasp* My truck isn't beefy! Take it back or you'll hurt her feelings! She wants to be pretty

Okay, a pink bowtie on the grille would be a very nice personal touch for so much American steel on wheels.

I can dig it, after some more profound thought, as long as the truck is gay and likes it.

Haley - You're a Sweetie but NOT all vehicles are female. Truck is definitely a guy but ME's HHR is, for sure, a girl. I've had many of each - if you're quiet and patient they'll tell you who they are. I truly believe that they all have a personality.

PW - on the Prism. If you had taken good care of him/her (probably her) it would still be running. Those little suckers will run forever with minimal effort. Not exciting but durable. We loved ours (an '86) but had realistic expectations.

It's not so much the color but how it's worn.

                        Earnhardt's first racecar was pink.

Yeah, Bullet could have run some more after that. I loathed the thought of trying to have somebody find a radiator for a car so old. Plus, his clear coat was peeling off like sunburned skin. What a tired car, I chose to DX him. He's had enough.

But the story goes on. That's when Unit bought Bubba the Truck from the dealership in Lancaster SC that week while I was working away. How easy was that? I flew home and there was Bubba. New truck, all we had to do was sign papers. Most excellent.

So I drove Bubba to the airport for the next 6 weeks. There is a different parking area at the Charlotte airport with larger spaces for trucks and bigger things. I parked there over and over.

On the seventh week, I drove Unit Mobile (Sue's Taurus) to the airport because Unit wanted to use Bubba to haul some stuff that week. So I parked back in the same row where I parked Bullet. And guess what - there sat Bullet. Still. Tag gone off of it (we put that on Bubba), oh my gosh what an ugly ragged out fender-flopping pile of an ugly car. Embarrassing. Funny how when you look at something every day, you just can't "see" it.

I had called a guy to come get Bullet and tow him away for scrap, but his hired tow truck driver got drunk instead and didn't ever do it. That was interesting, how Unit talked the airport people into believing the true story and only charging us for a week's worth of parking fees when somebody finally DID haul Bullet away.

Not to mention Larson's Nova for a lot of years.

Haley - really? pink bowties and calipers? Lordy - well it is a chevrolet - so have at it.

I bought my F350 out of florida with 185, now has 205ish with a fresh engine - hope to have it for a long long time - only use it as a truck so don't put many miles on it a year - try to minimize it's salt diet in the winter too.
There's always something new to learn.
