Hi, My name is Wally, I'm 32 and live in Poughkeepsie NY. I'm originally from Long Island and grew up around racecars, mostly circle track but watched a bit of everything. I've got an 86 Monte Carlo that once I get settled in my new garage I want to make a Nascar style car for open track events and autocrosses. I work as a bus dispatcher in Manhattan with New York City Transit.

I'm Art Danby and my love of cars goes back to the mid 50s when I helped a neighbor work on some rather kool cars. He was an older guy that had been an apprentice mechanic at the Stanley Steamer plant and later drove midgets in the 30s and 40s. He could work on the exotic stuff and often would make a part rather than wait for months to get one from Europe. Folks from all around Philadelphia brought their Morgans, MGTCs, XK120s, Porsche 356s, etc, etc to his little three car shop in Broomall, PA. And I was the neighbor kid he called when he needed an extra pair of hands. I remember helping pull the trans out off one of the first Lotus 7s in the states.
Since then I've always been a car nut. Had a 57 Chev, 2 Mustangs, a 65 396 Vette, 23 T with a 289, was part owner of a B/FD, owned and drove three different Micro Sprint dirt cars, built and drove a street legal Meyer's Tow'd with a judson supercharger, had an 89 RX7 and a whole bunch of other plain cars. For a few years I restored Honda VTR250s. Along the way I spent 20 years in the Army. Like KT, I was a helicopter pilot. I now live in York PA. My new love is LSR and I am building a Geo Metro with a Honda Motorcycle engine to run as a gas coupe at Maxton. Maybe Bonneville some day.

Hi all, Joe from Long Island, NY. Although I grew up around cars (my Dad has gone through a '51 Merc 4d sedan, '64 Galaxie 500XL drop top, '56 Ford Victoria, '70 Impala Custom, '37 Plymouth 4d sedan, '56 Chevy Bel Air drop top), my Dad always preached to get a dependable driver and save to have the cool weekend warrior. Well marriage, kids, and a house happened so I'm standing on the sidelines. But I would like to give a thanks to DF, Turk, Steve Bruele, and all of the others that let me live a gearhead life vicariously through you.

I would have given my left leg to have been there when you blew up the Maverick

                  Hi,

I'm TommyK from Newtown, CT. I've got a 73 Mustang ragtop that I have been messing around with for about three years. I am in site construction and road building so I have been around mechanical things a long time but I wasn't really a car guy until recently. Car Craft was and is my favorite mag. This site seems like a great idea. Good luck.

I'm Tom de Lyon, live in Montvale, NJ. here in NJ when someone asks where, you say the exit # off of the Garden State Parkway. I'm literally off 172 temporarily as I'm living in a town house after my home 3 miles away caught on fire on 9-11.

I'm an operating engineer for CB Richard Ellis, I'm stationed at a rental company's headquarters *G*. Here's a picture of me hard at work.

As for cars, I have my 66 Mustang coupe and my wife has a 69 Grande that she picked up cheap. I've always have been into cars but always seem to be lacking time, money and space to work on them
