        Hello all!

My name is Dan, I'm 46 and I live in Everett, Wa.(30mi. north of Seattle where I was born). My home is in the 'burbs and my neighbors think I'm crazy. They avoid eye contact as they walk their dogs past my open garage doors. All the sparks, loud noises and mechanical violence....they don't understand. Oh well.
I have loved all things mechanical for as long as I can remember. BMX (before the term was coined), dirt bikes, cars, boats and even aircraft. I've maintained, repaired and modified all of them and I learn something new every day. My current victim is a '78 El Camino that has under gone a frame off rebuild/update to be my daily driver. Dependability, economy (relative term) and the right balance of handling vs. comfort are the goals. To that end here is the plan: TPI 350, 700R4, 3.73:1. Aftermarket control arms, big sway bars, gas shocks, urethane bushings and mounts, frame stiffeners. The interior is custom with leather pwr buckets, custom console, gage cluster and "A" pillar pod with Autometer Ultralites and LED indicators, fully sound proofed and insulated. The paint is a custom 2 tone metallic copper/silver. The final color and clear were done by pro's, the rest was me in my garage. It is in final assy stage (4yrs into the project) and I can't wait to drive it!
Married 21+ years to a beautiful, supportive and understanding transplanted SoCal blonde. 2 kids, daughter out of school and starting her career, son just starting college, very proud of both of them. I have been working at The Boeing Company for 19+ years, the last 12 in the Developmental Flight Test division. We maintain and modify new model commercial aircraft for engineering validation and FAA certification. We are on the leading edge (no pun intended)of state of the art commercial jet aircraft, I love my job!

I KNOW I'm the luckiest schlep in the world!!!

David, for years you have made me think, laugh and learn. Thank you, and I wish you the best of luck in this new venture.

Greetings, my name is Mike. Noticed a lot of familiar names on the board, thought I'ld join in.

Been a truck mechanic and driver most of my life, heavy into anything to do with old cars and trucks. Always been a custom freak.

Hope I can learn some stuff in the process here.-MIKE ;D

I dig anything mechanical so tech articles are my favorites in the mags, would really like to see some low buck turbo builds especially blow through stuff.
This is the first internet forum/site I have ever replied to so it is taking some getting used to but it is cool that the communication goes two ways where the
print mags seem to be a one way street. Can't wait to see where this site goes.

Hello, I'm Marshall, I have been an aerospace machinist for about 19yrs and I am into just about anything "62-"67 chevy II. I currently have two and a half. A 66 post- white w/ red interior, 355, richmond 5-speed, tunnel ram, torque thrust D's, moser 12-bolt. The other is a 67 SS blue/ black interior 283, 'glide, A/C, power sreering, vinyl top car. The half is a 65 post that belongs to my brother (TurboRegal). ImpalaSam and TurboRegal came over the other day and were talking about the site and told me to check it out. I'm glad I did. It is cool and informative. It's interesting to see what other guys are doing with their stuff, in different parts of the country. A cool site that is long over due!
