For what it's worth, that is the towel the dog's water and food bowls sits on. Right off the floor and under the head, lol. Normally is on the floor under the window there. And it's a dog chew toy proping it up to keep it level, lol.

I'd say by the size of that syringe your drug habit's out of control.Originally posted by TheSilverBuick View PostFor what it's worth, that is the towel the dog's water and food bowls sits on. that head is off a blown engine. I tipped engine up to get the heads off while sitting on the lawn.Originally posted by SpiderGearsMan View Postnice oil leak there

cracked block rod flying into the stratosphere.. solid liftered for 25 years.
I'd slap it right back on an engine without doing anything. although compression into the 13 to 1s blew all four plug holes out. the reaming is now hitting the intake valves...sleeves will fit with some grinding.
this is the engine with 9 head bolts for two cylinders (18 in all).
toughest thing I have ever encountered. leaks? there is none.
the setup I run now is deep hydraulic (big travel), it gets even bigger...hence the exhaust opened to max cfm. the solids kept it runted, like for a racing category. this engine reminds me of the 302dz by gm. Alot of fun to be had.
It is like a model to play with. Going back to a v8 is always reference to this little one..it has done everything from carb to turbo to injected. little cams to big, flattie pistons to grooved.Last edited by Barry Donovan; May 20, 2013, 09:23 AM.Previously boxer3main

Some pics i took today..me and a friend,on a junkyard roadtrip.

I got this 54 Ford f600 for free..its a one owner truck, and he bought it in 54..used it to 64,and then it was parked right there where it is on the photo.Only 30000miles,and a little rusty...

Heres the owner..91 years old,and the garage that is shown here..he built it 3 years ago!!!.And the wagon thing he is holding there..its a project he had been thinkering with..a wagon for getting sand on ice..built with a washing machine roller...you fill sand in it,and just roll around
.

Nice weather to have a roadtrip

A International Scout with the optional 3,3 litre Nissan Diesel.

Anyone that recognices this engine?
