I was in bangor maine today.
Above freezing by a few degrees. wet roads by Old Town or so heading south..
I climb out of the woods to get there to bangor.

Came out of mikkie Dees to see the front of the truck was still below 32F.

just got home. followed a subaru at 45mph...now freezing fog, 32F. Better safe than sorry.

my dad in a long trucking career used to come home caked with snow sometimes. We'd wonder what universe he was just in.

not sure if I am the only one having trouble with photos..

finding other sites to keep me busy.

      Kosti Ruohomaa

here is some maine stuff. My uncle passed on recently, and memories of the last of something fill my head.

what if that 1980 something last of logger photo was taken..
or the novy hull with swells making it look like a toy at sea.
Or the sudden move of the kc135 over our head, with fighters playing along... the prequel to the last 25 years of non-stop war.

moments in time. We won't see them again.

Loggers on the rivers, ponds, lakes and bays with no life jackets..
        When men were men!
Saw alot of logs dumped into ponds while growing up and at the mill when I worked in my early 20's.

Cool shot, the only ding is the generic number on the re-issue plate. I'm seeing these alot, I would have picked a number it might have had back then.

My weather station had no problem figuring out daylight savings, but it's still having a hell of a time with Leap Year.... I've manually reset the date a couple times and it's set for 2016... and it keeps reverting back.

                Escaped on a technicality.

Street Machine Nationals - Pomona CA this weekend. Met up w/ a half-dozen old friends, & maybe some new ones incl. Matt Hay and his buddy Tom. Yep it was amazing to see that T-bird that blew us all away 25+ years ago, in great shape and sounding good. Scattered clouds, a little coolish, but Gail (behind Challenger) was enjoying it all...

a 1996 chevy next to a 2008. Oddly enough, the smaller looking truck sits taller, bigger tires, and a longer wheelbase.

                            Tricky isn't it.
