Wow , just wow . What tenacity. I think I would have just found a small light weight car body to put on it . Or lengthen the frame and look for a fiberglass jeep body . Or do the make fiber Sammy bodies? But really good on you for trying to save and make useful the original body !Previously HoosierL98GTA

Years ago, about 2014-15, I bought a complete 1988 Samurai as a Parts Donor for the Timber Cruiser, from a friend of my son. It had 68,000 documented miles on it.
BUT it was/is TOTALLY RUSTED OUT!!
The previous owner used it as his Winter Daily Driver since new. The salt dissolved it very well !!
We stripped the Low Miles Engine back in 2015-16 during Winter Lay Up and installed it in the Timber Cruiser.
So, needing the space in the Lower Barn, the donor is now in the shop for a Winter Lay Up Project, as we are just going to SawZall ALL the RUSTY parts out, patch metal only the structural parts needed, and make a .......
WASTELAND MAD MAX ATV Trail Rig !!!!
JUST a Reminder......
This is the opening statement of this project......
There are MANY Yes's that we could have done,
BUT, the Mission is to use as Many Repurposed Parts from Questionable Decisions, and Places as we could. Also to use up parts that are Sucking Up Storage Space at my place.
New parts have been for the Drive Line, and Chaises
i.e. master cylinder, brake lines, and the headers. This was a economic decision, the cast iron manifold was cracked on the original engine from the Timber Cruiser. Complete kit with gaskets $104.00 including the Buster Brown Driver Jason kindly bringing it into my shop.
AND, It keeps a "Binge Drinking, Compulsive Collector" busy instead of out loose in the General Public......LOL And Quoting my Son Shaun when he was very little,
"NOT NOW...... Can't You See..... I'm INVENTION-ING !!"
when told to come in for dinner.
I will keep you posted on my Therapy Treatments.....
