I had a 454 with a single carb, and the 283 has way less acceleration. But it's still fun to drive.

I can not remember where did the 454 go? I know it gave up the blower to plan II. what is the plan for the hole in the hood?

I took off the blower in 2014 when I was building the Chevy II. At that time, I installed a single 4bbl carb and intake on the 454. I also replaced the hood, I had a spare, but I had to do bodywork on it and paint it. The hood with the hole has been hanging on the wall in my garage for a few years.

This is the "parking garage". The 55 and the chevy II are both in the "shop" right now. Mostly my wife's cars here....and my trucks...but things move around over time. The other hood for the 55 is hiding in the back corner, behind the orange truck.
