What about parts for engines from SHO Taurus models, or Turbo fours from T-Birds? At one time these were expected to be the hot lick for future hot rodders.

for some reason, im remembering---i think-- those early "square" rangers
are a bolt in 460 swap, and can fit 10" or 12" wide rear tires with minimal work.....
or am i mistaken. wouldnt be the first time...

If this truck was a 2.3L truck, I would totally entertain the thought of a turbo bird setup.

Actually, there's a fix for them with MLS gaskets. My bro and I have done a couple with excellent results. And it was just one engine family though it was a HUGE family.

There are guys making iirc 400+ HP from the 2.0 Ecoboost that are dirt cheap. I might would consider one of those or a 2.3 EB if I wanted an odd ball other than the 5.0T

Speaking of EB there was an EB F150 in the junk yard the other day I was looking at the intercooler and turbos they were much smaller than I would have expected. Has anyone tried to swap them on to an old V8?

Two words: Air Conditioning! I have a thru-the-wall (basically a window unit) and that takes the curse off in my 1200 sq.ft. shop. If nothing else it sucks the humidity out. SOOOoooo worth it!
