I didn't want you all lonely and all in the back seat - so there's the spoon for ya

It's not leaking into the car, so all is well...don't sweat it. I'll be doing clean-up work as soon as I get it back. ...sometime this decade.Editor-at-Large at...well, here, of course!

It will live again!!! Going into the shop for work within the week...
And more info on the engine (keep in mind, this is what I'm told by my stepdad):
- The 360 is a pro rebuild that's about 10K miles old. It's been bored (how much IDK) and the cam's "about two steps past a good RV cam". The intake, valvetrain, manifold all look good.
- The car will be getting a new aluminum radiator and new igniton components, either Mopar Performance or MSD.
- The 727 was garbage...the sprag issue. So, new plan: Full kit rebuild on the 904, including internals, clutches, filters, etc. and a new torque converter.
Hard to contain my excitement...Last edited by BangShift McT; August 29, 2011, 06:04 PM.Editor-at-Large at...well, here, of course!

Also, it's time to register it in AZ. Since tags will be cheap, I'm going with a specialty personalized plate. It'll look like this:

I've got a couple ideas in mind, but would like to see some other suggestions...current ideas:
* NOHALO, N0HA1O, or something to that effect

nohalo seems like something a stripper would have on her jeep. not sure you need to deal with those connotations.

Ok, another update. As of now, it's still DOA, the 360 and newly-rebuilt and kitted 904 are waiting. In addition to the box o' goodies that SpeedJunkee is sending my way, I scored a huge goldmine of parts from a guy off Dippy.org.

Inside, I'm getting the steering column, shifter, console, floor patch with console mounts, dash faces, gauge cluster (oh, please, work!) and the entire dash pad.

Two patch panels off this side, one for the C-pillar that is royally effed and one for the quarter panel I wrinkled with the Chevelle, as well as the rear marker light.

I also get perfect filler panels for the rear of the car, both corners and the bumper filler.

And the quarter-window trim I needed after shaving the trim bars I had on before.
Price, except dash pad, is currently $320 before shipping. The dash pad isn't counted b/c he isn't sure of it's true condition.
So yes, it's definitely alive, and things are happening...Last edited by BangShift McT; January 15, 2012, 08:51 AM.Editor-at-Large at...well, here, of course!

Cool to see progress. What ever happened to that quarter panel wrinkling Chevelle?Bakersfield, CA.Comment

Sold the original rims/tires off of it for $600, the rest was sold for a three-digit price in late 2010, just before I moved from WA. It still ran, but I had managed to tear off the exhaust by grounding it in a gravel parking lot, the glass was out of it, the motor was tired, and the rust was way beyond repair.Editor-at-Large at...well, here, of course!

Got a call from my stepdad today. Apparently my car was missed by a Douglas Fir by 3 feet. The combined snow-ice storm is wreaking hell still, and it might be another three days until power is restored.Editor-at-Large at...well, here, of course!
