i posted the list i had of hotels in Waynesboro. they didn't get the best of reviews. do you want to go for price, and do one of the hotels in Waynesboro, or look else where and probably pay more? i'll check and see what travelocity has.

i found some more hotels in waynesboro and staunton. the 4 and 5 rated hotels are $130 to $160 and more for that weekend and alot of them are already booked up. remember, that's a big weekend for the leaves. in staunton, i found the following:

red roof inn - $80 3-1/2 out of 5 rated
days inn - $64 if you book a nonrefundable room now. 4 out of 5 rated. renovated the past year. right of the interstate (there's another days inn closer into town that isn't rated as good).

we need to make a decision soon. do we want to gamble on a cheaper room, or pay more money for something nicer. i'm cheap, but will go any way everyone wants.

Humm there is the Microtel Inn Staunton for 70 for a Queen & 75 for 2 beds with good recent reviews 4 Smiles.

now they also have a "Top Secret Hotel" that had good reviews, but it does not tell you which one it is. I know my son uses Top Secret hotel for last minute travel & has been happy..

i saw the microtel, but the reviews i saw where all old, but if you saw new ones that also gave it four stars, then that could be ok. i don't know if there is anyone thats close by. maybe we can should just pick between the microtel and the days inn. i didn't see anything between these prices and the higher priced stuff.
