Ed, I booked at HIE Sturgis last night for $133.00 per night. AAA discount 1 King bed Non Smoking. Check in June 26th, check out June 29th. I did it through the IHG website. The standard cancellation policy applied to this reservation. Keeping the reservations at both places for the time being.

Keep both of 'em....I just checked online and they are down to 5 Kings remaining in Sturgis, at a cool $455/night. They have Queens available, but just about as high. Yep, we'll be in Spearfish.

This sounds intriguing to say the least! Finally a place where its not 100 degrees, plus humidity! Its certainly something to keep in mind. Hopefully their website will show more info in days to come? Thanks for the heads up! Gotta love Camaros & their owners

Rooms...... I have not checked prices, however, Spearfish is a short drive on I-90. The Quality Inn, Hampton Inn and Fairfield Inn are all next to each other right off the interstate. The Holiday Inn is a short walk from these hotels. Across the Interstate is a Howard Johnson's and Roadway Inn. I have stayed at the Quality Inn a couple of times, it's a place to sleep and shower, nothing over the top. I have stayed at the Days Inn and Super 8 at Sturgis LaCrosse exit, they are good places to sleep and shower, I am usually not in my room much....... I am going to check prices soon.......

                          George, Thanks for the Recon.

I received an e-mail from the Black Hills Camaro and was told that the web site will be updated for the 2014 Rally right after the first of the year. They did confirm that the event starts on the Thursday the 26th of June. We plan to arrive there that evening.

Depending on arrival and departure times, who would be up for a scavenger hunt cruise through the hills? There is so much to see and do in the Black Hills. We usually stick to the free stuff except for park fees. Mount Rushmore has a parking fee, Custer State Park has a fee however it is well worth it. Badlands and Devils Tower also have fees. There are many miles of beauty to see....... Pictures and info to follow.....

Way too far away for me to commit to anything but IF you were planning on doing your scavenger hunt entirely before or after the Camaro Ralley - how many days to you think your scavenger hunt would be?
