It's JETCAR!
I don't see where a Turbonique Drag Axle is expressly forbidden by the Street Race N/A rules, but I expect it probably does not fit within the "spirit of the intent" of the rules. lolLife is short. Be a do'er and not a shoulda done'er.

The rule "begins with a capital and ends with a period." (I will hear that in a southern drawl for the rest of my life. LOL)
No such thing as intent of the rules.Last edited by Bob Holmes; November 6, 2013, 07:14 AM.I'm still learningComment

You haven't lived until there's a rule created because of something you've done.Originally posted by BBR View PostIt's JETCAR!

We had three created before we even got the car to a race.Originally posted by SuperBuickGuy View PostYou haven't lived until there's a rule created because of something you've done.
While I respect Mr. Turk and Mr. Frieburger, if you have to rely on the unwritten "intent" you've created a subjective environment.I'm still learningComment

That also is why we push the envelope..Originally posted by Bob Holmes View PostFrankly, for me, half the fun is working the rules.
1 rule limited the nbr of bolts holding skins together.. All because our car stood up good
Another was banning welding the front end solid..
Ah well, what's next for 2014?Comment

And they like it that way!!! Haha. I feel it does keep the gray area shenanigans to a minimum though.Originally posted by Bob Holmes View PostWe had three created before we even got the car to a race.

Back on topic.....
Just wondering is a stock Trak-loc limited slip diff could actually slip both sides at the same time given enough power and traction? I really don't see why it couldn't. Hrrrrmmmmmmmm....Life is short. Be a do'er and not a shoulda done'er.

At the moment I think they can afford to not have the folks sign up that have too many grievances with subjective rules. Most the rules state clearly, if you are unsure e-mail Hot Rod. Which of course their track record shows they ignore most e-mails so it does suck to a fair degree. Locking down the rules too tightly stifles innovation and easily could cause various kinds of cars to be excluded that otherwise meet every intent. Worse case when you show up to Drag Week only has three outcomes, 1) You end up in Unlimted, 2) You end up in Daily Driver, 3) You might have to run slower than the car is capable of. Basically, you still get into the game and get to participate even in the worse case.Originally posted by Bob Holmes View PostWhile I respect Mr. Turk and Mr. Frieburger, if you have to rely on the unwritten "intent" you've created a subjective environment.Escaped on a technicality.Comment
