awesome... and the weather in Seattle (coming your way) is 60s.... it warmed up 30 degrees in that last 3 days.... thus, gratutious burnouts are coming.

hee hee it's a bit sneaky, too.

Battey (-) cables are connected to body and engine

Valve cover notch is finished and vc's have a new coat of hammered-look paint. Pass vc is on, Driver's side.... um... not so much. 6 of 6 nuts are on, but only 5 of 6 are tight. Reason being I cannot get a wrench on the one next to the brake booster! I can see it, I can touch it, but no tool I have in my vast arsenal will come close to tightening that sucker.

Must get creative.....

A flex extension or a flex socket *might* work. I dont' know yet.

Instead of a custom tool, how about a custom bolt? I've welded an "extension" bolt up in a couple of instances, just to provide access to the bolt head.

Can't wait to see/hear this thing in action. Green with envy!

I was just thinking about an allen head bolt with a tiny u-joint, like I have for my RC cars welded to the top with a long end sticking up to tighten it with....

It almost looks like if I had an open end wrench with an angled head, i might be able to get to it from under the booster.

I have had to make "specialty" tools before that end up looking pretty bad but get the job done. Word to the wise when you make your "prototype" make another one so you have one in the car and in the tool box at home. Lesson learned the hard way.

Curious, do they make a (bad explanation>>) t-handled swivel with a socket on the end?(like a t-handled allen wrench?) I thought I have seen el cheapo set somewhere some time ?
Don't know if it would work in your case because it looks like you might need two swivels???

that looks like one of those "why don't you just" bolts. You know the type, you have spent 8 hours trying figure out how to tighten it, and some joker on the internet says "why don't you just ___"

were it me, I'd either eliminate it as overkill (since you are using an aftermarket valve cover rather the stamped steel) by ford's design team or use a hammer and cold chisel to tighten it (with a cut washer under it).
