How about some Dyno vs Track tuning??....... You can take a car to the track dial it in the old fashion way and get it to run the best time it can, then take the car and have it tuned on a chassis dyno, then take it back to the track and see if the car picks up or slows down..........

    Hi,
I think I would like to see some tuning articles, slap your basic bolt ons to an engine and show how to maximize the tune. Tuning is a lost art. Comparisons are great. The RPM vs Airgap type thing was classic. Some of the basic things like, do angle plug heads make any more power than straight plug heads? There are a lot of cheap Ebay heads and intakes out there, are they really worth the money? Junkyard power is always good.

Keep the ideas coming guys. We are in the middle of working on all kinds of dyno and tech stories right now, so throw some more ideas on and we'll get them in the loop of stuff to do.

    injection and draft cams..same engine.
    some don't know the difference.

some overlap. some injection does better with a carb than injection with injection..but the carb cam? now that is useless..sometimes.
    sometimes it isn't.

Any truth to running a bigger/higher capacity oil filter on a race car being better?

I know going to smaller ones didn't improve my oil pressure one pound.

Gas porting pistons with low tension rings v. standard rings, how much HP are they worth? How much do you lose down low compared to how much do you pick up on top?

Coatings... what are they, how much do they cost, and why should I use them.
