    Re: Short Intro's

    Thanks Keith

I can't begin to explain to you how much fun it is to go riding in Baja. We rarely went with a chase vehicle and typically were gone for 4 or 5 days per trip. We did a tip ride (from Ensanada to Cabo AND BACK) in 1998 that took two weeks and was the adventure of a lifetime. While you may end up waiting hours for gas - you can always find cold cervazs. Nothing like laying in the dirt drinking beer wondering where you are going to sleep or eat if the Pemex trucks doesn't get there before dark.

      Re: Short Intro's

Hi, my name is Duncan and I'm living up here in the Great White North. Had a few nice cars over the years, but my fave was probably my 74 Plymouth Scamp that had virtually everything replaced re-done to it. Also had a 78 Firebird Formula that was fast enough to scare the crap out of me. I'm currently working on a 73 Vega that I traded some wheels for and have managed to pick up some free stuff for as well. Being married and having 3 kids and a new mortgage makes it a challenge now but we should be ready to fire this puppy up before Christmas. It definitely is a bigger project than I originally thought and I'm way behind schedule but should be ready to roll by the coming spring.

              Re: Short Intro's

My name is Steven Rupp, I live in Orange County, CA, and I've been blowing all my cash on cars since high school. lol

My first car was a 64.5 Mustang with a 6cyl engine. This was good since I would have killed myself with a V8. My second car was a '67 Camaro with a 327 and I've been a "Camaro Guy" ever since, however I'm not brand loyal and enjoy all sorts of rides.

For the last three years I've been tech editor over at PHR. Before that I was a District Sales Manager for Panasonic. The pay was great, but the job bored me to tears. When this gig opened up I decided to take a pay cut and have a job that's actully fun to do.

                Re: Short Intro's

Hello, my name is Shannon Sykes. I'm 35 years old and currenlty reside in Virginia Beach, VA...but I'm originally from Mullens, WV.

I'm in the Navy (have been for almost 16 years) and I'm currently stationed onboard USS Normandy (CG-60) based out of Norfolk, VA. I operate and maintain the Aegis Weapon System for a living.

I'm in between projects right now, but I'm currently on the hunt for a decent Mopar A-Body (preferably a Dart). I've wrenched on cars since I was a little kid. The real cars I've owned are a 66 Mustang, a 76 Monte Carlo, and a 93 T-Bird. Not a big classic car resume to be sure but as I've stated in another thread, the Navy keeps me quite busy. When I'm not wrenching on my cars, I'm ususally helping someone else wrench on theirs. I'm of the opinion that people have helped me and taught me things about cars over the years, so it's only fair that I pass on my knowledge and experience to other people if I have the chance. Who knows, you may need that somebody to help sling an engine sometime down the road! ;) I heard about this site form a friend of mine and when I heard that Dave Freiburger was involved, I knew this was the place to be. And from the people I've met here thus far, I'm glad I came! ;D

Michael, another from The Great White North.
While mostly a Ford guy I have owned at onetime or another something from the Big Three, the U.K. and Europe. Nothing as yet from the Orient tho.
Current rides are a pair of '57 Ford sedans, a '49 Ford Tudor and '71 Mustang 429SCJ-R. All are in various states of (mostly non) mobility.
                              Cheers.

                                Hi,
I'm Rob Kozak. I am a Team Manager for an IHRA Pro Mod team and for the job that pays the bills...truck driver. I grew up around cars and in my teens was crew chief for a nationally running Monter Truck (Buffalo Tremor). After that I bounced around helping different people till I landed with my current team Mike Janis Racing. I don't work on the car that much I do more behind the scene work like design, sponsorship and PR.
For my personal ride I'm building a 53 studebaker.
