  • Cars you can barely explain why you'd want one

What cars so you like but can't really explain, even to other car guys, why?

Ford LTD: Mainly because I had one as a shop car in HS when I worked for a mechanic and the thing was reliable, indestructable, and extremely simple but fun to drive.

Isuzu Impulse RS AWD: Sure it's a tiny crap box but it's also AWD and Turbo, I just like it.

AMC Eagle Wagon: It's the first crossover without actually trying to be trendy. I can see lots of practical and fun uses for the car in C-Springs where I'm headed.

    What are ya'lls?

1986 Ford Bronco II --> I had an '84 with a carb'd 2.8L and always wished it was an EFI 2.9L.

1987 Conquest TSi --> I oogled these as a teenager and always thought they looked awesome.

1987 Isuzu turbo diesel p'up spacecab --> can't explain it.

Ford EXP: I don't even know why

Plymouth Grand Voyager: My first time over 100MPH was in one (can you imagine a mid engine hemi Grand Voyager?)

Crown Victoria: I like police cars
Rumors of my demise by rollover have been greatly exaggerated.

Mopar FJM: I don't know why...just like 'em.

Datsun 620 pickup: My stepdad had a couple...all were pretty ballsy for a wound-out four banger.

              71-73 Mopar C-barge coupe: Just f-ing because.

Ford Maverick/Merc Comet: These used to be everywhere when I was a little kid! What happened?

Mustang II: Kind of hard to ignore the first car you stole. (No BS either.)
              Editor-at-Large at...well, here, of course!

1991-1996 Dodge Stealth. Slick looking cars, but just a Mitsubishi rebadged.
Smart car- Maybe I should just buy a go cart and call it even. ;D
