The interesting thing about the poncho el camino is that the el camino parts are about 10 years newer than the poncho parts. Very strange.

I think the Elco is around the same vintage as the Poncho parts, Jim...judging from the doors and general "cab" area.

It may be ugly, but it sure is slow....LOL

I think what Jim is referring to is the bed and rear window area. Thinking along the same lines Jim was, I compared it to an 84 Elco that was on the lot and they were the same.

The Templino needs a 400 poncho and some old slot mags.Overall i think the carpenter have done good in bringing it far out.The El Camino it borrowed its bed from, have to be a 78 or newer.

The Capri...it need a hood scoop for sure.... i like the Capris of that era.

The Capri's violation is that it's still on the streets and not on a junkyard yet.
The Ponniyak, well I can get the idea of the ElCamino-convesion, but sometimes it can be darn obvious when someone owns a car way too long. They get bored with it and start doing stupid things to it.

I agree that the Capri is way past used up, but the thing is ripe for a heated up 351 and a 4/5/6 speed. Don't touch the body and make the exhaust quiet enough to not attract TOO much attention.

Also I've seen a few of these, and don't like the door/side window treatment. But I don't know if I could do anything better.

If the car had been a two door post form the beginning, the end result could have been better.

Look at it, no bulging fenders, or fastback.
