Just had a thought...... Could you do a gasser with a Ford twin I-beam front? They're really plentiful (F0100 or Ranger, depending on width) but I realize that wouldn't give that old-timey vibe.

got the 275/60's mounted on the torq thrust II's,
bought a bunch of 3/16 rod to do the lip on the
radius rear fenders to fit said 275's, and scrounged
some leftover poly strut rod bushings from the
white vette (went with rod end replacement struts instead
but already bought bushings, deeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrr.......)
to fab some 4ft ladderbars.
