New steering rack is in (2nd time) first one was indexing when we got it in. Hope a little air helps keep the rotors from warping again.

Small volume surge tanks work great for slosh control. I've ran my cars down to a gallon or less without any noticeable effect on how it ran. And gears are good!

Another problem we had was fuel starving in hard corners after 1/2 tank. This swirl bowl should help that problem. The best part about this is that my team mate that owns the car washes had all the stainless laying around and can weld. Unfortunately the AN fittings and line for the swirl pot are not just laying around.

The process to cure some of the problems found during our first outing continues. The 2.93 gears made 5th gear useless so this score out of a 325ix at the soon to close local pull a part Is a win. It either has a 3.91 or 4.10 gear and a viscous coupler limited slip. Not exactly what we wanted but for $40 it was a deal and will be an improvement.

Got sheared bolts out and ran a tap through all of the threads with little problem.

It was running 4 seconds per lap faster than the first day. I think pushing it led to it's demise. We are going back to the original diff cover as it is the right price. The mounting tabs are going to be remade out of some flat stock we have
