Quick update, the A/F ratio is not reading right, I don't know what the fuel ratio is right now.

Re: The Silver Buick's well Silver Buick!

Well I got about ten miles on the engine now ;D The brakes suck ass and the porportioning valve sensor is triggered and I have a brake light on the dash, I'll look into that tomorrow. Cruising around at 25mph and 35mph though is easy enough. I all my errons with it ;D First stop was to the insurance company to pay a bill, and came the first compliment, "I heard you coming around the corner" ;D It stayed nice and cool putting around between 1500rpm and 2500rpm. The rear end is completely silent, I almost forgot about paying attention to it. Thanks all who helped me set that up. My short drives should be perfect for breaking in the gears. I did take one road for a short jaunt up to 60mph, like my Centurion this thing really starts pulling after 3,000rpm, but I only took it to 4500rpm (that and I was at 60mph already) and there is a definate decible increase with the secondaries ;D

Few issues that still need working out in no particular order:
      1) Clutch adjustment.
      2) Fix brakes
      3) Front left inner fender rubs tire when the suspension is barely compressed. It's bent up, I might have to cut a piece out.
      4) Some electrical work, the blinker's didn't light up on the dash, not sure if they were working outside the car, but I did barely hear the flasher (I reached for the radio that was off to turn down the volume :P)
      5) Sort out the LC-1 and other datalogging stuff.
      6) Install the sway arm links (I didn't want to install the old ones, and I just got new ones when I was in CA last)

I'll try and upload the videos now.

            Yup!

Ok here are the video's, nothing overly impressive.

Here is the first attempt. When the gauges turn white you know I've stopped cranking it. It was kind of quiet loping at 500rpm.

This one was taken just a few seconds after the first video. Pretty much as soon as I was sure it wasn't going to die on me. In retrospect it was pretty dumb of me to think the Air Fuel gauge was working :-\

            Just a quick look around.

From the outside. The sound is way better than portrayed on the video. I stopped recording when I saw the smoke coming up. That's my header paint :-\ But it is running ;D

                  Great work Randal, and congrats.

Try smacking the prop valve with a hammer if you can get to it-sometimes the piston gets stuck in one end.

Made it's first trip to the bar and back ;D I'm sure the neighbors loved hearing it fire up around 8pm and me feathering the throttle due to no choke ;D Then me rolling home a little after 11pm Fun Fun Fun.

Thanks, I took the prop valve apart and sprayed it down pretty good with brake cleaner, wasn't like new inside but it was definately better. I'll definately try tapping it a few times tomorrow. I think my first priority might be pulling the rear wheels off and pull the caliper and manually adjust them inwards, I'm sure I had loose clearances between the pad and rotor putting them on and I'm guessing the parking brake adjuster isn't working as well as I'd hoped :-\ From there I'll try another bleeding session (I had plenty of fluid coming out of the rear when I did the initial bleed) and see what the Service manual says about rear discs brakes and any procedures to follow. But I do need to get the prop valve centered and get the brake light off, damn I wish it just had a button.....

the brake light, if disconnected, generally goes off.... otherwise, pull the bulb
I don't have a proportioning valve on my Buick (thus the wire is not connected), and the light stays off unless tripped by the parking brake.
