Don't forget a cooler and appropriate beverages for each stage of the trip.
Something about making your own Sangria after you arrive at the "romantic destination" sounds like the right thing to do, fruit, 7up, a couple bottles of "sweet" wine - and your bride may eventually forgive you for the events of the day - after a glass or 3.There's always something new to learn.

In Albany slurping beers at the hotel with Kerri now.
Man, what fun! It was awesome for Jeremy and Jeremy to drop in and play Destroyer escort for a while. We got a later start due to me seriously struggling to get the shit tires (well, two of them) off of Brutus before leaving the hotel. Would have left at 8 but really left at 9:30. On the upside, I now own a 40" long 3/4" drive breaker bar. That baby worked some serious torque related magic in getting the lugs off!
Full report in the coming days, but here's the quick hits:
Truck runs pretty well -- can pull 60-62 (if I really wind it up) on the flat and pulls medium grades easily. On steep grades it falls on it's face and warms up. The big hill Jeremy was talking about, I was able to finish in 4th gear, but another monster came up about 50 miles down the road, and I had to downshift to 3rd and basically crawl over it. Should be the worst two of the whole ride.
Getting about 7mpg...yes!
The truck rides really well. Nothing like Goliath, can actually soak up some pumps and stuff. Stock seat is not too bad.
Look's bitchin with the two white wheels on the back, can't wait to get them on all four corners.
This truck is a BARGE...really, really, epic slow. I think the air cleaner is plugged, the carb is all covered in shit, and it probably has not been tuned up since the carter administration, so there may be help in the short term.
Long term....BIG BLOCK!
190mi more to go tomorrow! Home stretch!
BrianThat which you manifest is before you.
