If you track the history of the sport, Southern moonshining turned into organized racing and then into a money spectacle.

It's just a money/advertising spectacle, and NASCAR is one of the most disorganized and incoherent sactioning bodies I've ever seen in my life of following sports of all types. They react to an incident. That's all they do. There's no forward thinking. There's no overall plan. They just react, and rarely, only when they're hit with a grenade of some type.

I don't follow NASCAR much anymore. Is K. Busch the jackass who got busted doing like 125mph in a school zone?

        Yep. Among other things.

EDIT: I think it was in a construction zone....

Ya know what? I really think the essence of what we're enjoying here is the joy of the internet.

Everybody gets a say. I like reading the comments underneath the news stories on the big news sites. Traffic, I mean traffic.

Most everybody is almost saying the same thing, in their own words, or in fact the opposite of that. But the words are different, and the opinions do vary quite a lot.

I mean, is this a great country, or what? Just another part of it. My final profound observation of the night.

128MPH in a new Lexus LFA ...uh, a yellow one. He got a 45day license suspension, $1000 fine and had to do a few hours of community service.

he got this ticket in Aug this year. I don't know about any school zone, but he may have run over some nuns....and killed a few puppies, i think.

My only complaint: dude smashing a perfectly good guitar, staged or not, sucks. Boo!
He said afterwards that he had told Sam Bass (the painter of the guitar) that he was going to smash it after the race BUT the day after the race Sam Bass was interviewed on Sirius NASCAR and he basically said he had no idea that was going to happen & was pissed that Busch had wrecked a guitar with a ton of hours in the paint...... dumb ass punk kid, really could use getting his ass whipped again by Richard Childress.....

I'm with Brian. Also, Nascar is a dictatorship and was created that way on purpose. One guy in charge period. It's his ball and if you don't like it, you can go home. The sport has suffered from greed, but so does everything. I could afford to go to wrigley field almost every home game in the summer when I was a kid, and have a hotdog and bus fare home.....not no more.

PeeWee, did you read what you wrote last?
Maybe I can clear this up.....I thought the cop was a prostitute.

then they are a depressingly ignorant bunch of F*Tards too. How tough could it have been to start with the obvious "Sorry dude" then move on to "I'm an idiot and I'm sorry to every other person who has to be involved with me" ?

The "apology" is pretty weak. You know the "word crafted" it but damn, man, get the order right or you come off sounding like Kyle Bush. Wait... nevermind.

I thought they wouldn't let you drive if you had your license pulled? Didn't Little Al have some serious problems because he kept getting speeding tickets...bad ones. Tells you roughly the last time I watched or was interested in Nascar. lol.

I think this jackass believes all attention is good attention.

YOU CAN'T ALWAYS BE PROACTIVE SOMETIMES YOU NEED TO BE REACTIVE..
I find it funny that most people feel that was about nascar "It's just a money/advertising spectacle, and NASCAR is one of the most disorganized and incoherent sactioning bodies"
sorry peewee you're way off base.. let compare..
nascar the teams run off of a budget that is 1/20th of 90% of football/baseball/hockey/basketball teams do..
nascar teams office/shop are not supported by the fans like say a football teams playground/stadum is by ticket sales..
nascar teams have to replace equipment that gets used up every w end , most prosports equipment last for years, other than balls that fans get..
but yet that same football team needs 20 times the money budget to fullfill a season of 16 games + post season if they make them..
yes nascar isn't cheap.. it take 15-30 million to field a team but you can't even get a q/b and a reciever thats any good for that. nevermind the rest of the team..
so your disorganized and incoherent sactioning body money/advertising spectacle, is quite the bargain and must not be so disorganized as some would lead you to believe..
face it companies pay more money out for one 30 sec slot in the super bowl than they pay for a years worth of ad time on t.v. and live 30+ times a year, for 3-5 yours at a time.. most times friday morning till sunday night.. and thats just at the tracks..
hum... yup.. disorganized red necks.. right thar

NASCAR Fines Kyle Busch; Places Him On Probation For Remainder Of Year: NASCAR has fined Kyle Busch $50,000 and placed him on NASCAR probation until Dec. 31 for his actions during the Nov. 4 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Texas Motor Speedway. Kyle Busch violated Section 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing) of the 2011 NASCAR Rule Book. NASCAR took immediate action, parking Busch for the remainder of Friday night's event and maintaining the parked position for the NASCAR Nationwide and NASCAR Sprint Cup Series events scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at Texas Motor Speedway. On Monday, the parking directive was lifted by NASCAR. In issuing Monday's penalty, NASCAR went on to say that "if during the remaining NASCAR events in 2011 there is another action by the competitor that is deemed by NASCAR officials as detrimental to stock car racing or to NASCAR, or is disruptive to the orderly conduct of an event, the competitor will be suspended indefinitely from NASCAR."

The kid has a ton of talent and has won a lot of races but he will never win a championship driving the way he does. Maybe he needs to lose his ride for it to finally sink in that he needs to show other drivers respect and think before he acts. Watching a program last night on tv replaying the last few seasons of the Kyle Busch wrecking machine showed exactly why Richard Childress was so pissed off at him. He has wrecked an awful lot of other teams cars/trucks for no other reason than he's nothing more than a little boy having a temper tantrum. How many times in the past has he said he's sorry and "learned" his lesson yet he still acts like he does and blames everyone else for why he did. Until he grows up he will keep acting like he does.

Guys that know more about stock car racing history than me may disagree, but isn't one of the reasons a guy like this did not exist in the 60s/70s/80s is because by the second time he did something totally dumb he would have received a singular or gang beating.

There is no more self regulation anymore in most motorsports, driven (in my opinion) by the need to be "media friendly" and sanitized spokespeople for sponsors. (Back in the day you could have a womanizing drunk like Mickey Mantle selling Maypo because the only people who knew he was a womanizing drunk were his teammates).
